The most dangerous intersections in Broward County

Broward County may not be as heavily populated as Miami-Dade County, but with the tourist population, the roads can be especially dangerous. Local 10 News reports that one of the most dangerous intersections in South Florida is in Hollywood, at the intersection of U.S. 441 and Pembroke Road. Road work will continue in that area until 2019, but officials hope that the improvements being made will make the area safer. In the meantime, if you do have to drive in that area, be extra cautious and plan extra time to be able to slow down when necessary.

Here are seven more dangerous intersections in Broward County:

  • NE 26th and Federal Hwy.
  • Pines Blvd. and South Flamingo Rd. - especially dangerous for pedestrians
  • Sunrise Blvd. and Andrews Ave.
  • Atlantic Blvd. and U.S. 1
  • S. 27 and Griffin Rd.
  • West Oakland Park Blvd. and NW 50th Ave.
  • A1A and Las Olas Blvd.

The I-95 corridor at major exits is another road to be extra cautious on. Motorists are not the only ones who need to take extra care when on Florida roads. Pedestrians and cyclists also need to walk and drive defensively. Stay alert on the road, especially at the above-mentioned intersections, and use your best manners on the road. Drive consistently and use signals to help other drivers know what you plan to do. Take your time and plan ahead when you need to get into a different lane.

Many times, insurance companies blame victims of accidents for a motor vehicle accident in order to minimize a payout. Having an attorney on your side can help you work through the claims process and make sure you receive fair compensation for injuries and damages. If you have been seriously injured, you need to focus on getting well. Let your advocate negotiate with the insurance company and take the stress off you.
